Approved Product Seal

 

The Art and Creative Materials Institute, Inc. (ACMI) is an international association of over 200 art, craft and creative material manufacturers which seeks to promote safety in art and creative products through its certification program. The Approved Product (AP) Seal ensures art and creative materials, such as writing instruments, are safe and do not contain any chemicals harmful to humans. The AP Seal ensures products have been evaluated by a qualified toxicologist and went under extensive testing that covers long term and short term effects of chemicals in art and creative products. When looking for writing instruments such as pens, pencils, markers, highlighters etc, be sure to look for the AP Seal.
