The Province of Manitoba has a number of acts, policies, plans and initiatives that outline specific requirements for public sector:

  • Provincial Departments
  • Crown Corporation (as defined by the Crown Corporations Public Review and Accountability Act),
  • Local authorities (as defined by the Municipal Act) as well as Local Governments
  • School Divisions
  • Universities and Colleges
  • Regional Health Authorities.

While the provincial acts, policies and initiatives may not have specific requirements for procurement in the private sector, these directives show the issues of importance to all Manitobans.
